The Product Owner represents the interests of the stakeholder community to the Scrum Team. The Product Owner is responsible for ensuring clear communication of product or service functionality requirements to the Scrum Team, defining Acceptance Criteria, and ensuring those criteria are met. The Product Owner must always maintain a dual view. He or she must understand and support the needs and interests of all stakeholders, while also understanding the needs and workings of the Scrum Team. Applicants will be awarded the Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC®) certificate upon successfully passing the certification exam.

• Participants will become familiar with the concepts, advantages, and challenges of the Scrum framework.
• Participants will be adept in handling the business aspects of the Scrum framework and business stakeholder engagement.
• Participants will be equipped with the knowledge needed to play the role of a Product Owner in their organizations and help their organizations adopt the Scrum framework. This knowledge will include a functional understanding of the other roles in Scrum.
• Participants will have knowledge pertaining to and the ability to anticipate issues related to the practical implementation of Scrum

After completing the course, participants will be provided access to an online live proctored exam, along with the detailed steps to participate in the certification exam. After passing the exam, each delegate’s certificate will be mailed to him or her. The exam is multiple choice, typically 140 items and will take 180 minutes to complete. You need to achieve at least 80% score to pass the exam.

You apply for online exam by logging into your account. Once you schedule your exam, you will receive an email with the exam link, dates, and times for the exam. You will receive your exam results immediately after you have submitted your completed exam.

System requirements

Please note that this is a proctored exam, so you must have a webcam in working condition or you will not be able to take the test. The webcam will remain on during the test, and the video of your exam will be captured throughout the test.

• This certification is for anyone who interfaces with stakeholders or works as a Product Owner in a Scrum Team.

• There is no formal prerequisite for this certification. However, a SDC® or SMC® certified professional will be able to easily understand the concepts required for the certification exam.

• The Scrum Product Owner Certification (SPOC™) certification with VMEdu ScrumStudy has a duration of 3 years. To maintain the certification, candidates will need to apply and pass the Scrum Product Owner Certification (SPOC™) Recertification exam.
