Scrum Master Certified (SMC®) professionals are facilitators who ensure that the Scrum Team is provided with an environment conducive to completing the project successfully. The Scrum Master guides, facilitates, and teaches Scrum practices to everyone involved in the project; clears impediments for the team; and ensures that Scrum processes are being followed. Successful candidates will be awarded the Scrum Master Certified (SMC®) certification after passing the certification exam. The course is designed to give participants a practical understanding of Scrum, which can help them implement Scrum practices in their projects. The SMC certification recognizes that the holder has the competency to apply Scrum project management principles.

• Participants will readily be able to recognize, define, and work with the concepts, advantages, and challenges of the Scrum Framework.

• Participants will be prepared to play the role of Scrum Master in their organizations and help their organizations adopt the Scrum Framework. Furthermore, participants will develop an understanding of the other roles in Scrum.

• Participants will gain knowledge pertaining to, and the ability to anticipate issues related to the practical implementation of Scrum.

• Participants will be armed with the proper tools to address, resolve, and take the lead on Scrum issues in their organizations.

After completing the course, participants will be provided access to an online live proctored exam, along with the detailed steps to participate in the certification exam. After passing the exam, each delegate’s certificate will be mailed to him or her. The online live proctored exam allows you to take your certification exams from the comfort of your home using a webcam and a reliable internet connection. The exam is multiple choice, typically 75 items and will take 90 minutes to complete. You need to achieve at least 80% score to pass the exam.

You apply for online exam by logging into your account. Once you schedule your exam, you will receive an email with the exam link, dates, and times for the exam. You will receive your exam results immediately after you have submitted your completed exam.

System requirements

Please note that this is a proctored exam, so you must have a webcam in working condition or you will not be able to take the test. The webcam will remain on during the test, and the video of your exam will be captured throughout the test.

• There is no formal prerequisite for this course.

• The Scrum Master Certification Expert (SMC™) certification with VMEdu ScrumStudy has a duration of 3 years. To maintain the certification, candidates will need to apply and pass the Scrum Master Certification Expert (SMC™) Recertification exam.
